For International Women's Day on March 8th, we’re honouring all the brave and pioneering women who broke convention and took to the sea – the captains, the first women to win races, those that circumnavigated the world - even the women pirates! For centuries, sailing superstition suggested women were bad luck onboard and would anger the gods. Thankfully, those days have passed, and today many women take the helm or have careers on yachts.
