Bodrum has for decades been a thriving resort popular with British, international and European visitors and yachtsmen. It was called Halicarnassus of Caria in ancient times and was famous for housing the Mausoleum of Mausolus. Bodrum Castle, built by the Knights Hospitaller in the 15th century and overlooking the harbour and Bodrum Milta Marina, makes for an interesting sea approach. The castle grounds include a Museum of Underwater Archaeology, arguably one of the best museums of its kind in the world. The castle’s grounds also hosts several cultural festivals and events throughout the year, many of which are worth a visit.

Bodrum port is inviting. It’s a colorful and bustling place with an alluring ambience and the ideal setting for a lively night out. CRUISING IN BODRUM

If you’re cruising in Bodrum, Bodrum Milta Marina is where to head, however, due to heavy traffic during the summer season, it may be difficult to find space. Larger yachts can anchor off the castle with special permission from the authorities and use the municipality dock or marina fuel dock for drop off and pick up’s. Access can be granted with a fee to the marina.
